Privacy policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or use services linked from this site (such as the Lunar Park mobile app).
Who we are
The Lunar Park is a food and entertainment venue in Birmingham. For privacy questions contact [email protected] or use the details on ourcontact page.
Information we collect
Website contact form. If you submit the form we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, topic, message, and your confirmation that we may store your details to reply. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam; it may process technical data as described in Cloudflare’s privacy notice.
Website usage. We may receive technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) from our hosting provider. Google tags load with Consent Mode defaulted to denied. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how the site is used. If you reject analytics cookies, we do not set them, but Google may still receive cookieless conversion pings (for example a successful contact form send with event name and form name only — not your message or contact details).
Lunar Park app. If you download our app, account, order, and payment data are handled under the app’s own privacy information in the Apple App Store and Google Play, in addition to this policy where it applies to information you give us through the website.
In venue. Vendors at Lunar Park may process your data when you order from them; their notices apply at the point of sale.
How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and manage bookings or events you ask about.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To comply with law and defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with processors that help us run the site and enquiry inbox (hosting, email, and our secure enquiry platform), or when required by law.
Lawful bases (UK GDPR)
We rely on your consent when you tick the box on the contact form, on steps at your request before a contract, and on legitimate interests in running the venue and website. You may withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
Retention
Contact form records are kept as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period for complaints and administration, typically up to six years unless law requires otherwise.
Your rights
You may ask for access, correction, erasure, or restriction of your data, or object to certain processing, by emailing [email protected]. You may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and similar technologies
You can change your choice at any time usingin the site footer.
- Essential: Required for the site to function (for example security, load balancing, and remembering basic preferences).
- Analytics: Optional. Helps us understand how visitors use the site (for example Google Analytics). Only used if you accept analytics cookies.
- Security (Turnstile): Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies or use similar technologies when you submit a contact form, to distinguish bots from humans.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential or security cookies may prevent parts of the site (including the contact form) from working.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we expect appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
